PREempt HLD5 is designed for use in instrument and device reprocessing of semi-critical and critical devices. Accel HLD5 carries a 5 minute high level disinfection claim against bacteria, viruses, fungi and mycobacteria.
Applications
Chemosterilziation for instruments and devices that come in contact with sterile tissue, the blood stream & recirculating body fluids - such as surgical instruments and foot care instruments
High-Level Disinfection for instruments and devices that come in contact with non-intact skin or mucous membranes that are not normally considered sterile such as repiratory equipment, surgical mirrors etc.
Active Ingredient: Hydrogen Peroxide 2.0% w/w
Directions for use:
CLEANING/DECONTAMINATION: Blood and other body fluids must be thoroughly cleaned from hard, non-porous surfaces of medical devices and instruments before application of the disinfectant or chemosterilant. For complete disinfection or chemosterilization of medial instruments and equipment, thoroughly clean, rinse and dry objects before immersion in HLD5 solution.
HIGH LEVEL DISINFECTION: Place pre-cleaned rinsed and dried medical devices and instruments in solution of undiluted HLD5. Allow to soak for at least 5 minutes. Rinse with sterile water or potable tap water. HLD5 may not be suitable for all instruments.
CHEMOSTERILIZATION: Place pre-cleaned, rinsed and dried medical devices and instruments in solution of undiluted HLD5. Allow to soak for at least 6 hours. Remove and rinsed with sterile water. HLD5 may not be suitable for all instruments.
REUSE PERIOD FOR DISINFECTION: HLD5 solution has demonstrated disinfection efficacy in the presence of organic soil contamination and microbiological burden during reuse. The Hydrogen Peroxide concentration of HLD5 solution during its use-life can be veriified by the 2% AHP test strip (Part No. AHP2). HLD5 solution may be use and reused for up to a maxium of 14 days provided the 2% AHP test strip indicates a pass according to the instructions. HLD5 solution must be discarded after 14 days, even if the 2% AHP test strip indicates a pass. The unused HLD5 solution in its original packaging is good until date of expiry.
